About Our Program
The Cannabis Studies Certificate provides students the opportunity to explore various careers within cannabis production, processing, and distribution while gaining skills necessary to begin working in the cannabis industry upon completion of the certificate.
Nature of Work and Employment
Career opportunities within the cannabis industry include a variety of positions in the production, processing, extraction, and sales divisions of the industry. Potential careers include the following:
- Cultivation Technician
- Processing Technician
- Quality Control Manager
- Concentrates Processor
- Budtender
- Dispensary Manager
Special Considerations
All students enrolled are required to complete a workplace experience before graduating. Students are strongly encouraged to seek the advice of an agriculture instructor or an advisor to assist with class schedules, workplace experiences, scholarship opportunities, and employment placement.
